Wind Farm
These wind farms are just outside Palm Springs in the San San Gorgonio Pass. Tours of the windmills are available. Each windmill costs about $300,000 and provides enough energy to one home for a month.

King's Highway Restaurant--Googie Architecture
The Ace Hotel's King's Highway Restaurant, a former Denny's, is classic Googie Architecture. Many Denny's were built with the same design.
King's Highway hasn't reopened yet. Looking forward to July 23rd when it reopens. The food is great and certainly receives two thumbs up!

Up, Up and Away on the Palm Springs Tram--One of Three in the World
Up in the clouds on the Palm Springs Tramway |
by Alan Bamberg
Anyone who’s driven into Palm Springs has likely noticed the Aerial Tramway off of Highway 111 on the way into the city. While it is billed as the “world’s largest rotating aerial tram,” you might not know that there are three such rotating trams around the world! The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and The Titlis Rotair are two similar tram experiences all installed by the same company - Doppelmayr Garaventa Group. Uniquely designed to allow everyone to experience a 360 view of the terrain below, these tramways are an exciting way to take in majestic mountainous panoramas effortlessly.

If you feel like you’ve seen all there is to see on the Palm Springs Tram, just head over to Table Mountain in Cape Town or Mount Titlis in Switzerland and try another one! The Titlis Rotair was actually the world’s first rotating aerial tramway and offers views of one of Europe’s largest glaciers. Perching at over 9,908 feet above sea level, this is the highest peak of the three rotating trams. In South Africa, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway 3,501ft. summit offers unparalleled views of Cape Town and the Atlantic seaboard. Let’s be honest while the vehicle itself might be similar, the views couldn’t be more different. How many of the world’s rotating aerial tramways have you experienced?

Best Tikis in Palm Springs
Here in Palm Springs we have a coffee shop that is adorned with three Tiki torches. Sadly, the coffee shop under the torches, Ernest Coffee, has closed as of June 29th, 2020.
What's all this about Tiki in Palm Springs? Well, just in case if you wondered, Tiki is a Polynesian God.
You see, Palm Springs minimalism went perfect with a splash of offbeat color, shape and form. Minimalism by itself can be drab, so that when you add some pizzaz to it, a room or building can be entertaining and fun!

Biltmore Yesterday and Today
Gentrification is no stranger to Palm Springs. The Biltmore just ain't what it used to be. To the left is today's Biltmore. Compare this to yesteryear's Biltmore.
The Biltmore was a classic mid-century structure with curved hallways and sweet bungalows which should have never been torn down.
Take a look at the Biltmore's interior just beofre it was torn down in the early 2000s.
