Rare Mojave Desert Tortoise Spotted

While jogging today just outside Demuth Park, I ran into this rare desert tortoise. This creature lives to be 50-80 years. Incredible! What a find. It must have weighed at least 10 pounds. Should I have caught it? Who knows if it will survive in the environment around the Water Park and golf courses.
