Robert Doisneau's 1960 Palm Springs Visit

Iconic photographer Robert Doisneau visited Palm Springs in 1960 to photograph for Fortune magazine. It was Doisneau's first experience taking color photographs.

Doisneau questioned his visit, thinking Palm Springs was nothing but golf. "All I know is that you have to hit a small, white ball on green turf into a hole which is hardly big enough to receive it," he notably remarked.
