I'm really pissed off today. They closed the only camera shop in Palm Springs, the Camera Exchange. It closed, so I hear, a couple of months ago. Staples is the only place in town where you can get Epson 2200 ink, and they don't have matte black. Shoot, baby, it's back to Internet shopping for me.
Things in this life come and go, but sometimes all of the creative independence that comes with a small business brings about color and identity and much of that is going, going gone.
The pic here is another creative business, the Old Tiki Spa in Palm Springs. It's gone too.
Walmart, of all places, used to carry that Epson 2200 ink here in Ohio. Not sure about now.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to learn that some people have at least one complaint about Palm Springs. I was last there in 1952 and the then Holiday Air Desert Parkway golf course and resort (more or less). I was a young teen who hitch hiked there.
